I've yet to get behind a MB but have owned a 06 star for the past 3 years. Can anyone chime in on the MB wake vs the Star wake? I run around 2300k ballast in Star. I like the Star wake but miss my 05 x2 which was more abrupt with less transition. Thanks WW.

dont give up on the star. get an OJ 845 and run 1k more in weight, will peak the wake up significantly and provide alot more bang than with 2300lbs

I am currently running the OJ 14.75x13. not sure what model # that translates to though.

2012 MB F21, stock 1800 + 450 in the nose. Should be the same hull as the 2016.

The 16 is a whole new design, not sure about running surface though

Nicely balanced side-to-side. Did he stick the landing, or face-plant?

MB will definitely be on the "more abrupt/more vert" end of the spectrum.

Mmmm the star doesn't really get good until you add like 4k lbs

The star is to much wake for most riders once your at 4k also!

The star is a very friendly wake though, regardless of the ballast

Is it better to weight the star back heavy? I currently run sumo 600s in rear compartments, KGB and a flyhigh 750 up in the bow walk through. Don't feel stock 250s. KGB is 500.

How deep of water u riding in? I always felt with the full pro ballast(rear 600'?s and the 200'?s in front under the seats wake was very big and if u didn't ride 23mph the lip got sensitive. Maybe try not filling that bow sac? But do fill the stock rears.

Fill everything and that wake should be money.

My neighbor has the fly high pro system plus 350 in the walk way and it is money. Favorite wake I have ever ridden

I like the stock full, the 2 front under-seat bags full, and the rear bags <50% full. With the rear bags full I'd want even more weight up front.

30'-80' deep, I'll play with weight placement, right now is about a 50/50 split.

Steve, I'm super confident you'd love the F21!

The CIE guys ran their star very rear heavy. I used to ride a 40th anniversary star daily. Loaded up with fly high and 10 people was one of the biggest most fun wakes I've ever ridden
