Hi,

I have about 5 gallons of gas that's been sitting in the container since last October. There was no stabilizer. Should I:

1) Mix it with my boat's gas
2) Mix it with our car's gas, which is a lease that we are due to return next week anyways (heh heh!)
3) Pour it in the flowerbeds to kill the weeds
4) Put it away for my kids' college fund

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Use a match to see how much is in there, be sure to say "Watch this!" to everyone.

If the container has been sealed their is no prolbem with the gas. Poor some octane bost into your car tank and add it to it

Ahah! Good answer boss210!! Save the fact its 86.3 octane vs. 87, there is nothing wrong with the gas. Put it in the boat and go enjoy the cheapest set you're likely to have this summer!

I've used so much old gas it isn't funny. I've run it through cars, boats, lawnmowers.
Just run it. It's better if you mix it with other gas but it'll run in almost anything without a bug problem.
The older it gets the more things like die and varnish start to drop out. To save getting things gummed up don't mix it around. Just pour it in carefully and leave the last few ounces to start a fire with or run through a two stroke.
If you really want to boost the octane (which I wouldn't worry about) then pour a quart of toluene from the paint store. It has a RON of 120 and is the best octane boost you can find easily.
