Not sure about the rest of you, but if a jury of my peers came out of deliberation and only had a verdict on one of the six charges against me, I would be a little worried about their competency.
Why would you think that a group of 12 random individuals who were filtered to make sure none thought for themselves would display any competency? The fact that they didn't reach a verdict suggests maybe some people who do think for themselves slipped in by accident.
I think the campaign finance law thing is a bit slippery. He certainly had motivation to hide his actions from his wife. So claiming that his motivation was to hide it from the voting public is speculative. You can't just be throwing people in jail for being s**tbags.
