Not sure if this is best place to post this, maybe its here somewhere.; Would the forum possibly benefit from a section where lakes are reviewed similar to the way trails are reviewed on mtbr.com. (a mountain biking forum I follow) Since we are rank noob beginners we are not part of any watersports community around here (such as it is if it exists anyways) it would be far less intimidating if we new how to approach visiting a certain lake; a map, best ramp to use, best part of the lake to ride on, hazards to avoid, where to pull up for lunch, sights to see, which repair shop if you need help, maybe it is the home lake for members of this forum (so we can say hey if we see you), identify any local issues that one should be aware of.

This is a great idea. I was actually thinking yesterday how I should start to plan a 2015 vacation somewhere with the boat.

I believe this guy here, Robert Mitchell, and his traveling companion actually pulled this off. But before they took off, they collected some basic information on about 3 or 4 dozen ride spots. I couldn't find the thread tracking them as they made their way across the country.
