I found a couple of x-stars that I really like but feel they are asking to much for them. I am new to the forum and the whole wakeboarding world for that matter. Can ya help me out? Or if you know anyone that has something around 24k that is good for sale in Minnesota that would be sweet to.

Here is the first one

Here is the second one

Those guys both seem a bit to proud of their boats considering you can find the pickle fork x-star in the low 40s/upper 30s.

This on is in MN and is priced Right. Same Hull as the others. I actually loved this graphic

In 2005 I paid 35,000 for a brand new X2 (same boat with more modern features).
What makes you think they're asking too much? hahaha!

It crazy how strong the market is for older V-drives in good shape. We have companies like Nautique, MC, and Malibu to thank for that. It is definitely a sellers market.

With that said, yes, that is too much. Look at this: http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=804800

That guy is about to get a bigger boat, 5 years newer, for just a couple thousand more.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay. 28-29k is steep IMO.

Agreed with most, $30k is way to much. You could get a heck of a lot more boat for that money. I don't think either of those should be more than $20k.

Only thing is that its a direct drive and were trying to get a v-drive. Dont get me wrong its a good boat.

In 2000 my folks boat a new Xstar as loaded as you could get in 2000 it was $49,000. I recently inherited that boat from my parents. I was talking about trading it in with my mechanic on a 2006 pickle fork Xstar, he told me not to trade it and sell it out right, that I could get $25,000 for it all day as a private seller and he could sell it within a week for, that he even had a list of people actively looking for them. I was a bit shocked and didn't believe him until I started looking around and I think he is right. Those older V-Drives are great starter boats for people getting into the sport, since they didn't produce tons of them they are in high demand.

I couldn't agree with you more on what you just said. I would gladly pay 25,000 for either one of those boats but to me 29,000 on both is just to much. I have looked all over the net and most of them are at the 24-25 mark just not close enough to go get.
