Points for trick systems haven't been used in a few years. They have not been regarded very well and were never really accepted.
There are some old trick list with point guidelines, but the points attributed to the each 'trick' or type of maneuver was largely based on perceived difficulty and again largely argumentative.

I am just starting to compete and wondering how I should put together a run. Are there any websites out there that help you get started ?

Brad, are you looking to compete in skim or surf? The most important aspect of a 'run' is composure and control. Many focus on 'tricks' and we have seen a complete dumbing down of maneuvers, where by riders claim 'tricks' they have not even remotely completed or complete well. This is mostly seen in shuv-based tricks.

Core to all judging methodologies is the wow factor. The wow factor is quantified using judgments or measures of control, composure, amplitude, aggressiveness, flow, intensity, difficulty, etc., etc. There is no agreement on the difficulty of maneuver even though it is often used as the primary judging component. That goes to the heart of a points system where a score attributed to a specific maneuver is dubious at best.

For a run focus on your best maneuvers, those you have dialed and can do well, do not repeat maneuvers unless adding something to them, for instance a front side air, then a front side air with a cool grab or double grab or whipping the board off axis. Keep the flow going, always turning the board and using the wake.

Nick
