Blue is my favorite color. Wish you were closer Drew, be fun to get the 226 and the RZ2 together surf all day.

Yes it would, I would love to get out to Cali. I think it would be fun to come out and pick it up, but OMG what a trip, the road would never end.

Y, I really thought about road trip to texas, to get it sooner. But same thing, drive home would have been such a pain. I did think about it, though.

I like the gelcoat graphics. Very nice. Drew, as you're a dealer, do you know is there a dealer in the general NorCal area? When I bought my Tige, there was a dealer in Sacramento - Barry Paulsen's but now, I think I have to drive to Texas to get to the closest dealer! That's an exaggeration, but I do believe the closest dealer is across the state line for me. When my mechanic goes to get parts it's always a nightmare for me. Plus, as good as my mechanic is, he's not getting the manufacturer's notices like a dealer would.

We have been a Supreme dealer in Northern California since 2003. Our V226 will be here today and on display all weekend. Hopefully I will have some photos up this afternoon.

Sick looking boat for sure! Who cares about the dash. Only thing that matters is the wave and how tall the top cap is for me

James rode behind the 226 and loved it. Said the pocket was exceptionally long and usable - so it formed close to the boat and continued out past 20 feet, so it's an effective 20'+ length. I think Dennis told me that the darkside wake was equal to the regular side wake. AND if there weren't so many wake hogs at the Wake9 event, I would had a chance to ride it!!!!!! I'd like to get a pull behind one. When are you demoing Moto?

Great looking boat. I like the graphics. I prefer a deeper blue, but I definitely like the graphics.

You know, drew is waiting for his boat, just out of mold, and we hijacked with a finished one. He may have started drinking early today. ;-)

I have a demo scheduled with a potential buyer Monday, if he orders one instead of taking the boat we have in stock I am glad to demo the boat with anybody interested in it - I'm only a block or so from the ramp just give me a heads up Jeff and we'll drop it in the water.

We've been going to the same house on the lake, with the same families (originally just couples) every year for 20+ years for Memorial day and Labor day..

Speaking of the water, how is it this year?

With all of our rain it was surprisingly high and clear for Memorial Day weekend.

Heading back up for Labor day and hoping that the algae blooms are delayed this year due to all of the fresh water that has blown through the lake.

I heard that California Marine Sports is going to getting at least one in soon. They plan to bring it to Oroville and we will take lots of video and pics of the wake. Dennis, time to get Bre ready with that new camera and lens, that took some AMAZING pictures.

Now we gotta get me a tige dealer somewhere in NorCal....

The lake has been great this year, for me that is anyway - the water level is way up and if you know where to go the water is clean, deep and cool. If you're staying on the south end of the lake I would plan on dealing with the algae - just head north and you'll be fine.

Its a good looking boat. I LOVE the fact that the bow is open, and no playpen or walkover. I know that seems like a small thing, but no one in my family likes those things. I know some people do, I really don't like them. I didn't get a chance to ride in one at the festival, but RJ liked it, and the wake was great.

Everyone that went out with us on our Avy hit their head on the bimini even after a good "watch your head" warning. I won't miss that step over cooler but it did make for a nice garbage can.
Old     (wakebrdjay)      Join Date: Apr 2008       08-15-2010, 8:07 AM Reply
That's one of the things I like about Supremes, even with the bimini up you still have walk thru head room and still have room for large speakers between it and the tower.I did a tower speaker/light install on a Nautique,I smacked my head on a speaker at least 3x.

Its funny how such seemingly minor things are so major to us, but that is a huge reason we picked our tige.

@ Jay T, lol I put up some killer Roswell blah blah blahs, no advertisment here, and hit my head on them when coming into the boat from the rear, and everyone else would hit their head on the bimini coming in from the front!

I like the grey, the blue kinda jumps out at you on TO's.That's about the only thing I don't like on his, that boat looks sweet as will yours when it's done nomatter which color you go with.I'm jealous of all you guys getting V226s,but I'm extremely happy with the wave on BOTH sides of my V212.Can't wait to see yours finished Drew.
Old    surfdad            08-16-2010, 6:24 PM Reply
I vote for the blue also. My Tige has a flat black glove compartment and it must get to 9,124 degrees F in the sun. Do NOT leave any candy in there! A lighter color, I'm sure would help that issue. I also like the colored accents matching the GB and dash.

You can see Dennis Meyers' black & red V226 in the backround of the bump party pictures with the speakers on it & the windshield tinted. It looks great.

@jeff, RJ is next to me, both laughing. 2 questions.

9124, really? Sounds like you may not want to put any metals in there either. ;-) Sorry, that hit me just right, made me laugh.

Also, do you normally put M&Ms in your glove compartment? I guess I will take those out of the boat care package I was sending you. ;-)

My navy gets pretty hot too. probably only up to 7000-8000 deg though. ;-)
Old     (wakebrdjay)      Join Date: Apr 2008       08-16-2010, 6:42 PM Reply
He puts Reese cups in there. They melt better than the candy coated M&M's. LOL

@ E 22vdrive, no mine will have triple ballast, about 1100lbs powered by 6 tsunami pumps, 3 in , 3 out, 3 min fill.
Old    surfdad            08-17-2010, 8:43 AM Reply
@ RB - yes, I have used a special tungsten thermometer to measure the heat. Exactly 9,124 degrees F. Reeses melting better than M&M's that's funny - actually...this is probably too much information, but I do love a good "wince" I broke my spine several ears ago and so make use of a foley cathater when emptying ballast (that's to protect the kids ) I typically package up a 1 oz foil wrapped "surgilube" which is basically a water based lubricant. Said cathaters are semi-rigid when at room temperature but at 9,124 degrees are not very supportive. Now imagine the great fun of inserting such a device even at a nominal temperature of 1,000 degrees, water based lubricant, just below the boiling point and cathater with the consistency of Jello. Visions of having my line up in the glee club changed!

Ya got to have a cooler GB.

We went out in our 226 all day yesterday and it is so amazing to me how awesome the wave is with very little weight. There were a few peeps in the boat, stock ballast, and a 750 in the rear locker and the wave is amazing - we even had an "Enzo Guy" with us - or should I say X-Enzo Guy now

I should have some pics soon - of course I forgot my camera, but a few other guys got some good shots.

Are the ballast intakes sitll on the transom and could you post a good picture of the transom below the waterline? Thanks just want to see what it looks like compared with the V 212.

Old     (surffresh)      Join Date: Jun 2010       08-18-2010, 7:40 PM Reply
I decided on the light gray, I was just not crazy about how TQ's blue jumped out, I am an old man(lol) it's real hot here in FL, and I don't want my M&Ms melting! I got the call today....time to decide. I also got some pics but...they wanted to clean it up a little...so I said I'll wait. It does look killer. Another thing that they explained was that the reenforcement for the swim deck was mounted higher for surfing, very cool that it can moove up and down if you want it out of your wave.
Old    surfdad            08-18-2010, 7:46 PM Reply
Good call on the m&m's - melts in your mouth, not in your glove box. More details, please, on the moveable swim deck please. The mounts move or the deck moves or???

OK, am I not the ONLY one to call this out as TMI? I am going to have to burn my retinas man, I have images in my head, that I don't want to show up in my sleep.

On a side note, does the lube heat up when you blow on it? ;-)

@Jeff, really nothing moves, it just can be mounted higher than the one above. Guess you could always drill some holes, lol, if you look at Kevin's V226 above, my platform will be closer to making a straight line accross the bottom of the word "SUPREME", and by looking at my pictures, the grab handle has been widened by about a foot to either side for 2011, progress. Hey Kevin, your boat looks awesome, I am not so sure about that wave, please tell us this was before you got the custom sacs

I would say, please tell me that is without any weight in the boat.My V212 goofy blows that one away. That has to be just starting up or no weight.By the shape of the wake it looks like the boat is not listed, the wake looks the same on both sides.

Why didn't they put the ballast fills under the boat? You have to idle to your spot instead of a good pace.
Old     (surffresh)      Join Date: Jun 2010       08-21-2010, 5:41 AM Reply
it's a pro and con, when you go to the floor coast guard regs require shut off valves and you have to use certain pumps like Jabsco, and the manufactor can only put in 2, the Inland guys added another and cut a hole in the floor on theirs because it was too slow, I watched a video of them doing it. I absolutly hated that thing ( Jabsco pump ) on my Avy. and it was one at a time or 15 min for 2 tanks. When you go to the transom, you can have as many as needed, there is a Tsunami on every port, 3 min fill vs 5 to 6. Jabsco does not make it easy to replace impellors and the pumps are not cheap, no worries with the Tsunami, we have all tried to wear those thinks out with our fat sacs and they just keep on pumping

lol - the sweet smell of polyester resin. The boat is looking good surffresh. In that last picture, there seems to be a framework of some kind in the rear compartments. If I were guessing, I'd say it was the starboard side, engine side of the compartment. Is that separator a metal frame that some composite board slides into or am I just seeing something else?
