Anybody have opinion/experience with MB Quart Marine?

Has any body heard, tried, seen, anything on the MB Quart Marine line of speakers?

How do they compare to WS or JL?

I know their car stuff is super high end. Seems as though these come with the RGB lights installed

They were considered pretty decent 15 years ago when people put automotive stereo equipment in their boats and then they sort of fell off the planet in terms of popularity in marine applications. (crap, I just dated myself) Boss Towers/Accessories used to push them pretty hard. (now i really dated myself) Not sure what their story is now. Kind of interesting how most audio companies will go through cycles of being good and then stinking and then good again. Seems like most brands are guilty of those peaks and valleys at one time or another. Guess I really didn't answer your question though...

I was a die hard MB fan for years. I put their stuff in my last 5 or 6 cars and recommended them to any of my buddies doing stereo stuff. Well last year I redid the stereo in a coach we use for customer demos and outings as well as trade shows and such with. I bought 10 pairs of 6.5" components and powered then with my go to JL amps. They were literally worse than the oem speakers we pulled out. I figured it was a bad batch or something, called to talk to someone and got directed to Techtronics, which is apparently their mother company or the importer or something. Went around and around with them trying to get them exchanged with something else. Hell, I even offered to pay the difference to upgrade to a different model. Besides wasting my time for 3 or 4 weeks, I got nothing and they told me there was nothing they could do. I left a review on the FB and it got deleted and myself blocked. I've always used Wetsounds stuff in marine applications and damn sure won't be going to MB for any reason unless I need more targets to shoot at.

I used to have MB and they worked well for about 2 years and then they broke. They sent me new speakers and those broke again within 2 years. My newest boat (2012) has WS and they have been great so far!
