I have no tower speakers and dont want to spend bank as he wife rarely lets us crank tunes. Anyone have any experience with these? I have a clarion headunit currently

Yes, plenty of experience. You will need an amp, like the Kicker KXM400.2

The KMT67 is the current part number and they retail for $600. So $500 is about 15% off. Good deal if they are an authorized Kicker dealer, come with factory warranty and dealer support to help you with setup and tuning. Especially if they toss in the amp @ 15% also.

Yes, good for surfing. Two 6.5" mid-bass woofers flanking a high output tweeter. Lots of mid-bass so very well balanced. Id take this setup over two pair of 6.5" coaxial any day.
