Memorial day sucks. Its the start of "Noobs on Water". Everyone who has a boat decides to go boating and do power turns endlessly. Some people get up for 730am tubing sessions.

Weather forecast blows. So we'll stay home & play it by ear. If the weather happens to shape up, we'll be out ridin or paddlin on the lake. Otherwise it'll be a weekend inside drinkin.

Not going out this weekend. Leaving the water for the people who only go a couple of times a year. I don't like being out there with them.

No boating here either, booked the week after at the lake to avoid the masses. Getting the boat cleaned up this weekend.

Staying off the water as well (and hoping the weather warms up a little bit for NEXT weekend).

I have found over the last 3-4 years that Memorial Day weekend means butter! I think a lot of people stay away from the lake for fear that it will be a mess, but the last 3 years in a row I have had an empty lake of butter up until about 2 pm, and this is on the busiest lake in the Dallas area (Lewisville). In fact, last year we rode right down the middle of the lake all morning long. The water stayed nice until about 3 pm.

This year, however, it's supposed to be windy, so I think I'll be skipping the lake this Memorial Day weekend.

Got a wedding on Sunday so this year is shot. I agree with Nauty that we have had some good luck on Memorial Day. Except for the wind blown first day we had great water all last Memorial weekend. The part of the Lake (Mohave) we were at was pretty much empty. It was a great unexpected surprise.

Our weather has been 100% suck, lately. Watching it rain right now. Still hoping to get out and ride a bit, but I'd love it if it would break 70 degrees. This is California, right??? I usually sit on the dock and watch the yahoos all weekend. Get a few sets in the morning then BBQ. Oh well.

+1 on the Noobs on the Water, Ugh (just the thought of all the tubers, and "don't care drivers" that'll be out there starts a massive headache brewin' in my brain)! it just kills me to think how many there'll be out there this weekend throwin' rollers everywhere. won't be a decent shred spot of flat water anywhere to ride on either of the home lakes. luckily my friend just bought a house on a lake so it's semi private, but we'll see how long it lasts.

well whatever it is yer doin this weekend, workin' or playin', don't forget to take the time out to give thanks to those who put their lives on the line so we can have this day of relaxation, BBQ's, friends and familys. And have a beer or two and shred a couple a sets for the ones who have to spend their time still on the front lines overseas. You know they earn it EVERY DAY they're out there!
