This is my brother Brad flying his new quad copter (DJI) at our lake house.

He is a great Pilot but he is new to quads so he is taking it easy as far as how far he flys away for now.

That's awesome! I was just looking at these the other day. Do you know what model he has? I was looking at the Phantom 2 plus vision (their camera).

I know that Yosemite just banned the use of drones in the park
(article here:http://www.nps.gov/yose/parknews/use...ional-park.htm .

I want to buy one before any more rules /regs get imposed.

Its the DJI V2 the video is from the DJI supplied camera and gyro gimbals. It was around $1300 for the set up.

The come with Pre- Programed Black out Zones like Airports and other No No zones. Im sure they would be able to Black out zones as they pop up or get added to the no fly zones. When you fire the DJI up each time it up loads or connects to the Sat's so dosent matter what version you have or get if you wanna fly with there GPS guidance then you need to play by their rules.

But if you decide to fly off the grid (no sat guidance) then I dont think there is to much they could do about it electronically.

Its strange how easy they are to fly. Its like driving a super car with all the electronic Aid's. But this is how they make it so complete newb's can fly like a pro. Take away all the Aids and its a while new bird and you can fly un restricted.

I've hopped on this Kickstarter deal for a mini drone: http://nocamels.com/2014/12/micro-drone-zano-selfies/ and https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ing-nano-drone

I want something to follow us around while mountain biking, chase the kids, and dog. I like the idea of it being able to follow a smart phone. The size and cost are fantastic too. I don't really have need for a 4K camera or a drone that goes further and longer, for messing around the Zano looks to be great.

Anybody know if the Vision (supplied camera) is the way to go with these DJI's or is using a GoPro on the gimbal the best option?
