For the last couple of months we have been working on changing the date for the West Coast Open. This has been a goal from the get go. We never wanted to do it before memorial day, but that was the only time the lake would allow us to close down that entire cove to control the conditions of the course. After 3 years and building a good relationship with Camp Far West Lake they have decided to allow us to do this after memorial day, we are so stoked!

2013 West Coast Wakesurf Open
June 6 through 9, 2013

Mark your calendars, set your vacations! We are going to roll out more info as time goes on, but we will basically be putting on the event as before, like a wakesurf festival. Bring your families and camp and enjoy the lake, beautiful weather, pro and amateur riding, and lots of surfing and clinics.

CMS will be bringing out their pro shop as usual and will be providing board demos of all the best boards. We will have LOTS of clinics and activities designed to help you progress with your wakesurfing, and the entire rest of the lake will always be open to surf, and their will be plenty of boats, and you will find a ride if you are traveling without your boat.

We are still going to be using the Subjective rules system, but have updated and working on making it better. Check http://wakesurfopen.com for more info.

We won't be trying to do a Polar Bear type boat demo, because boats are scarce at this time of the year, but I am sure we will have a few great boats there from CMS to drool over.

Can't wait, going to be tons of fun, head on over to http://wakesurfopen.com for the details, rules, past video, etc.

Yes, very much so. We are working out the details and the schedule, and have also been pushing some board manuf. to make some more of these types of boards. Way too much fun that many can enjoy.

As we get more details, we will let everyone know.

Sweeeeeeet I am having Jeff from soulcraft build me a long board. He says he has built one before and has a whole file on them. It will be in attendance at the WCO and I would be more than happy to let some folks give it a spin

Harold you will love the long board! Can't wait to see you ripping on it at the WCO in June. Tony and the rest of our crew sure had fun on the long board at the Polar Bear.
Jeff was having a blast riding a long board that he built last summer. Only thing was he didn't have it for long. Some guy saw it in his shop and loved it, so he sold it to him.

Im having three brands build me a long board so I can add them to the Demo program and moving the date for the open allows proper time for one to pick me to compete on....the open will be epic for sure. I look forward to see you all then..

Most likely, we still have to work out the schedule and all of the details.

The contest area is one BIG campground. Plenty of space.
