Loking for some suggestions on compareable amps to these. My boat stereo stuff was gangstared and need some replacement gear ASAP.

Wetsounds is a little low on gear and may not have the SYN 4 in stock for shipment. So looking at some different ways to go around that pricepoint with those features. My first thought was some Boston Acoustics GT series amps.

Also they are backordered on the Rev 8 in Black. Only have white. .... Or I jump to the Rev 10 and am able to get black. What are your guys thoughts on white on my setup as space on the tower is limited.

Thanks for your input

Just concerned about the white possibly looking cheap.

White would look clean. I would go white REV-8 on a SYN-2. Both are in stock. also, If you jump to the REV 10. I would still go white. And if you get it rolling today, we should have a SYN-4 for you. But they are rolling fast. So both options are available.

I think white would look great since your boat is white and red. Then next season, if you want to change it up. The housings are easy to paint and you could go red.

I agree with Tim on white. You have nearly zero black accents or other things on your boat. White will match the boat better in my opinion. As for an amp. If wetsounds doesn't have a syn2 look at the Arc audio KS300.4, Exile xi800.4, Alpine PDX 4 channel or JL HD600/4.

I agree with the comments above, the white speakers look better IMO. The Zed Audio Draconia-II would be another solid option - 400x2@4ohms if you bridge it, would match well to the Rev10s. I went with Zed on my new boat and have been very happy.

Arc Audio KS 600.2

There is not a better amp on the market for tower speakers.

If you're doing a lone pair do the tens and match them with a JL Audio HD 750.1.

Oh and white is right.

Arc makes a KS 600.2? Is that new model? I went with a 300.4 bridged for my Pro80's.

Oh by the way - go with white. Black on that boat will look like they didn't have white in stock and you bought what they had in my opinion.

I'm really bummed that wetsounds is using a universal clamp that is metal on metal. I was very disappointed when I saw that on my rev 8s'. They used to include several different plastic/rubber collars that made them they fit nicely - NO MORE!!

I ended up buying some weather stripping to line the clamp.

The Syn4 is a perfect amp for the Rev 8s.

We have only done a few boats with the white Revolutions but they have all looks great.

Here are some pics of 4 Rev 8 tower speakers.

If you use a syn 4 amp you only have enough power to run 2 rev 8's. The amp needs to bridged as well. If you want to run 4 revs, you need a diff amp. That came from wetsounds tech support when i setup my stuff.

great pics Ben! Thanks.

mxvet, A good match for two pairs of REV 8 is a SYN-2. 200x2 to a single pair and 350x2 at 2 ohms so net of 175 to each. However as my tech support mentioned if you are looking for the highest performance from them, then Dual SYN-4 is in order for 400x2 and 400x2. But some are wanting great all around sound and a good balance. And a SYN-2 will get it done. I heard a boat that had a pair of REV 10 and pair of REV 8 all off a SYN-2. And normally i would not mix the sizes and i would have said it was not enough power. But man the boat sounded awesome and it all just worked. All that heard it were blown away.

So if you look at the specs the REV 8 RMS is 200. Good match for the SYN-2. And the REV 10 is 300 RMS. So it really likes the SYN-4 on each pair.
