Does anyone surf behind a pro air? How is it?

yes, we surf behind our pro air. definitely possible. the pocket is short. a larger 5' plus board helps. But you can do it with stock ballast plus another 500lb or so of people/ballast in the starboard rear.

Definitely doable. We're surfing behind a Prostar hull with 1900 pounds of ballast and sitting passengers on the port side. SN will probably take less weight, Mastercrafts are notorious for needing lots of ballast.

i just hear bad things about the pro air for wake boarding and surfing and wonder if it is as bad as all say.

We surf behind ours, I can surf with only a driver and free ride on an IS Red. We have a custom sack in the ski locker, and two Gravity Games bags in the trunk side by side. The wave is better on the starboard side for goofy, but it's fine on the port side.
As for wakeboarding, take a ride, mine with ~1500 ballast is a fun wake, nice shape, not as steep as a SAN, but not much trough.
