I've a 2012 Supra 21v with the OJ 14-14,25 now I like to try the acme 1235, does someone have experience with this combination?

Most people complain about the gas consumption and high rpm when cruising... the hole shot it awesome.. how much ballast are you running and what prop do you have on now.. a 537?

I doubt you could tell the difference. You may notice slightly more torque. If you need a spare prop and you want about the same, go for it. You probably could use a 14 x 15.5 prop with better results.

Pat not sure you would notice much. Those props are supposed to be very comparable from what I know.

I had the stock OJ on mine at one point. Now I have a 1235. I can't really tell that much difference. Slightly better hole shot with the Acme but not enough to justify the cost of switching out in my opinion. My OJ got dinged up is the reason I switched.

I think fuel comsumption did increase, but not that much. The real difference I noticed was the response of the throttle while idling back to pick riders, or rolling through the no wake zones. The 1235 does not slip as much as the OJ prop did.

Jamie,

If you had the choice which prop woud you buy again the oj or the acme

Both are good. I don't think there is a bad choice between the 2. I do like how the Acme pulls a little better out of the hole and the throttle response at low RPM. So I guess I would have to pick the 1235. Hope this helps!!

I used to have Acmes on my old boat and I now have an OJ on my Moomba. The OJ's look thicker then the Acme.
I need to get my OJ worked on since I've gotten a few dings in the last few seasons but it has seemed to be very durable, And I remember having to have my Acme worked on a bit more.
I ride in the Sacramento river and hit the occasional stick/limb just floating under the surface,,,,,Didnt want you guys thinking I just randomly run things over....lol

Any of you guys with both props notice the thickness difference? I thought maybe that could make one seem not as smooth as the other?
