You do have the keys to the government. You figure it out. I don't believe you can balance the budget in all honesty. All you can do is stop rewarding behavior that stops participation of the public in the labor force. Stop moving jobs overseas. Best you can do is close the gap and strengthen our middle class.

What you have is a ultra rich who tend to bunch up in an area they want to live in and then there a large amount of service providers for them. The people who are not into tech but not wanting to wait tables for a living are now on the streets or moving out of the state.

Couple of thoughts.

you stop rewarding people for not having a husband in the house for welfare. I think you penalize people for being single parents or reward them for being married. You need to move back to a moral position however while we can argue morality, the statistics do not lie when it comes to not being poor. 1. graduate high school. 2. get a job. 3. don't have kids until you are married. These three things will keep you out of chronic poverty.

On the flip side, due to kalifornia's regulations there is no such thing as a cheap car that is road legal anymore. You can not even give away a car if it does not pass every little sensor check even if it runs well. The ability for law abiding people to be mobile is almost impossible for a reasonable cost. Look at all the overpasses in the big cities here.

I would mandate that cities have to provide housing for all employees of businesses with a business license. If the city does not have housing they can not issue business licenses. This will stop the kind of deal that they have here where all the employers are in a few towns and everyone else has to drive 2 to 3 hours a day to get there.

On the inverse, we need to make it cheaper for businesses to get licenses to start up. Most of the time they stack up because the areas are zoned and easier to get licenses for various chemical usage and so on. Don't need that for most software and banking jobs though.

And that is great, but it is just a stunt if it is only over the government paying for it and maintain.

Broadband internet is already expanding via private so I am not too high on the government claiming to take credit unless they are going to take credit for getting out of the way.

Even if you eliminate welfare altogether (no more SNAP, no more free school lunches, no more rent assistance, etc) it doesn't close the deficit. What else are you going to cut?

Seems that the truth does not match up with what you remember. Looks to me like budgets (passed by congress) were lower than during Obama's starting time and where stable from the end of Obama through Trump. Obama never passed a budget. They were just continuing resolutions until the Republicans pushed a automatic budget cut.

Looks like Trump was effective and i wish he would do more. I see what kalifornia does to businesses and private citizens in regards to these unchallenged environazi crony schemes. Who said I was for balancing the budget. You are trying to twist the discussion. There was one small time in our history where we had a balanced budget. That was a Republican Congress and a democrat president. We also were finally seen the internet boom and record stock trading. Other than that, it never was balanced. Balanced budgets certainly have never been a democrat talking point.

Trump was temporarily effective, though not sustainable for any length of time. His economy was collapsing by most all economic measures prior to Covid. The big one is carbon trade. The CARB board in kalifornia. Un-elected board. any of those fake environmental treaties with other countries.

What is your point? LBJ died 50 years ago. Illegals are not getting $20-$50/hour. I can get good guys for $15-20 all day everyday. 11 million people says they have a better chance here than from where they moved.

Trumps outgoing and incoming where the same as Obama's last two years and way better than his first 6. Construction pays 20 to 50 an hour. Even at 20 it is way better than flipping burgers for 7. Those are also job Americans can do, well except for the regulations of having to have a license, pay taxes, fear of losing their home or business if they screw up and so on unlike their illegal counterparts. Illegals screw up they move on or simply hop back across the border.

Joe Biden is playing his first round of golf as president Saturday at Wilmington Country Club in Delaware.

Biden is golfing with Ron Olivere, the father-in-law of Biden’s late son Beau, and adviser Steve Ricchetti, according to a pool report. In nearly three months as president, Biden has often spent weekends at home in Wilmington without holding public events.


Biden joined the club in 2014, according to Wilmington’s News Journal, which reported that Beau was also a member of the club. In 2016, Golf Digest wrote that Biden was tied for 68th among D.C. power players with a 10 handicap.


In 2014, when he served as vice president, he said a presidential run could hurt his golf game.

“If you want to keep your handicap in golf don’t run for President. So I expect strokes,” Biden said, according to CNN. It was unclear if he was joking, CNN reported.

It's not clear if Biden had his best round Saturday.

“The course record is still intact," Biden said, smiling and quipping to reporters.

Biden’s predecessor, former President Donald Trump, hit the course nearly 300 times during his time in office, according to the website TrumpGolfCount. Trump’s frequent golfing often was a line of attack from Democrats.

Trump often used golfing like he did his "executive time," in which he'd have unplanned talks and calls, POLITICO previously reported. Trump had frequently laid into former President Barack Obama for golfing while in office, saying he wouldn't "have time" for golf if he became president.
