I moved my sub on my supra from the kick panel with no box to a sealed box behind the kick panel facing the hull. I covered the old hole with a cut piece of 1/4" plex space out from the kick panel 1" with the intention of using the old whole to attach LEDs. I paint the back of the plexus black with 4 or 5 coats. And it looks really good during the day.

The whole reason I spaced it out from the kick panel was that once it was lite the LEDs would shine out from the edge of the panel. Not trough the black panel.

Some I got my LEDs hook last night and the paint is dark enough for the LEDs to shine through.

Do you think a couple pieces of black vinyl would be think enough to keep the light from shining through.

This is what it looks like in the day time. I was taking a pic of how I mounted my WS-420bt but you can see it in the back ground.
