I know the recent team edition super air nautiques come equiped with a power prop I didn't know if the 07 did. And how can you tell the difference between power prop an regular prop by just looking at it? I was thnnkin somewhere on the prop like the numbers on it. Any info helps! Thank you!

I'm actually buying an 07 tomorrow...
When you say power prop I'm assuming you're talking about the 1579, the boat I'm buying is a team and from what I've heard the only prop that comes on the 07's is the 645 (standard/non-power prop).
I have no idea how to tell the difference between the two, but the team I'm buying doesn't have the power prop...

>>>Miguel, is yours a team? ...also, how do you know its the 1579?

Acme stamps the model # of the prop on it's hub facing rearward, just take a look at it. It'll say something like "525 13 x 11.5".

645 is the standard prop and 1579 is the team. My early-build 08 TE came with the standard prop installed even though the brochure for 08 says the TE comes with the the power prop. I called CC and they said the early 08's were delivered with the 645...and I believe I was told that was because the power prop was an option on 07 TE's and they hadn't made the change in production on some of the early build 08 boats. CC swapped mine for a 1579 at no cost/no hassle because the brochure stated I'd have a power prop.

Before I had CC swap it, I talked with one of the tech guys at Acme to see which would be a better prop for me. His take: driving around without ballast, the 645 is better because of better milage, higher speed for a given rpm, and higher top speed. Running stock ballast might be a wash between the two...1579 gives better holeshot, but the difference in economy (with ballast) might not be very noticeable and the 1579 will burn more gas and be turning higher rpm's for a given speed running out to your spot w/o ballast. When running stock ballast + additional ballast, he said you will get noticably better hole shot and economy from the 1579. So, his advice was to use the 645 if the primary use is running with stock ballast or less and the 1579 is the primary use if to run stock ballast or more.

power prop also on mine - acme 1579. Yes I have the Team - i believe there are 2 or 3 Team versions/options - maybe the 1579 comes on the top team option??? not sure about this though?

Justin-Haven't looked yet just spent all my money on fat sacs. I got an additional 1600 lbs on top of my stock ballast. The boat gets up to plane pretty easy when there's about 5 people in the boat but yesterday we had ten an it was havin trouble. The wake was SICK buy a power prop would be ideal. If your lookin for one let me know if you find a deal!

robert - when youre fully loaded with peeps and ballast, push the hydrogate forward, then when you reach wake speed and your perfect pass beeps, then pull the hydrogate back - thatll help you plane easier.

Yea! It helps alot! We were doin that yesterday and the boat was still gettin stuck at like 15, so we jet loaded the front with about 5 people until we got up an that helped

Thanks guys. I got a cb from my local prop shop -since I go to the river (and there is a ton of debris floating around), they rec a thicker prop (acme). A 1465 is the same demensions as a 1579 only much thicker. Paid 450 for it, and am happy with that.
