My boat sits on fully shaded lift in Florida fully covered. I mention Florida because during the high humidity months I get what appears to be a surface mold but it looks more like a layer of dirt. The biggest problem areas are the bimini which is folded under the cover, rubber around the windshield or other soft rubber surfaces, ski and wakeboard bindings. I dont really have an issues on seating/vinyl surfaces.

Q1. What does everyone do to prevent this?
Q2. What products for cleaning the bimini, carpet and other surfaces to knock out potential mold.

if it wasn covered and the sun could get at it it wouldnt mold...its the shade thats causing the problem. My boat is just covered with its regular cover when away and the sun heats it up nice and the interior boat too....so mold has a hard time growing in that heat.

Damprid, and or one of intracoastal's summer covers. They keep the dirt and bugs off, but breath really well. Perfect for under a canopy or boat house.

Try to immediately get some air flowing under the cover. I second the damprid if you are going to keep it covered up tight.

Let someone else drive it when you are not using it. Like me.

The keys are in the boat and the tank is full. Thanks for the help.

Damprid must have something in it that kills mold. The boat has a breathable cover but no sun.
