It is looking like I am going to be moving to North East Atlanta area. Are there any heated lakes in the area? I.E. ones with a Georgia Power plant on them. I am a Florida boy and cold water scares me.
I am kinda thinkning of going near Lake Lanier is there any where to find consistant glass or is it allways blown out. Basicly any info about the scean in Atlanta including realestate would be helpfull.

Thanks

Some lakes are drained or are very low in the winter, so you might not have to worry about cold water. I dont know of any lakes around there that have a power plant on them.

UF - you should check out http://www.wakeboardatlanta.com. There are plenty of guys who live and ride on lanier, and tons of people who live in the atlanta area.

sinclair is the only lake that i have heard about where the temperature difference is noticable.

see ya on wakeboardatlanta.com

I just moved from Suwanee (that is a surburb NE of atlanta). There is Lake Lanier but I always had a hard time finding good water on the south end. I lived on sinclaire but the power plant no longer keeps the water warm enough to mention. The north end of Lanier is pretty sweet. But cocktail cove is a blast on the weekends.
