The Infinity Kappa 693.5i's that I ordered come with external crossovers. I ordered 2 pairs of 6x9's with the expectation of mounting them in the tower. I am in the process of making an acrylic (plexiglass) enclosure. My question is, do the crossovers need to be mounted in a location where they can "breathe", or can they be mounted inside a sealed enclosure? I do not know if they are susceptable to overheating like amps and need adequate ventilation. Additionally, I don't want them to be damaged by water in a location on the outside of the enclosure where they can freely "breathe."
I hope this is explained clearly, if not, ask for clarification, thanks.

Thanx everyone, I have already learned so much from reading previous topics like where to ground amps on a boat and other remedies to problems in other custom installations. Hope to hear back soon :-) smile and spread the love
