Not all discs make the cool whoomp whoomp sound. My HED track disc is pure stealth, no noise what so ever. The flat discs like Zipp 900 they seem to make the proper disc noise.

I did the Zipp 1080 front for the track simply because I found it brand new for 1/2 price. Person that owned it decided they did not want to mess with tubular wheels, score for me. I don't want to mess around with Clinchers for track
Then I happened into a matching rear for Tri/TT. It was a local sponsored rider's last season. He switch teams and sponsors so the Zipp was up for sale very cheap.
