If I am correct the Ronix bindings can be molded to your feet by a special "cooker" from the manufacturer. What do you do if you buy the boots online to form them?

no one does that.
just put them on. ronix has the best foot fit in the industry.
the more you wear them, they will mold even better to your feet.
bolt them up and go ride.

^+1 They should feel pretty good right out of the box, and just keep getting better the more you're in them

I've never done it but I think I remember hearing that you can drop them into a bucket of really hot water and then slip your foot in, lace it up and wear them for a few.

if you really want, guess you could go into a snowboard shop and use theirs.

My ronix dealer has the heater. Most of them do from my understanding. i've also heard of using the oven... sounds pretty damn sketch to me.

Definitely dont get the heat molded unless your only riding in really cold water. Getting them heat molded will make them wear quicker. I got mine molded in a cooker and they actually burnt. I was told it was a defective liner and a manufacture defect so i got new boots for free : )

I just molded mine the other night using a blow dryer. Left it on for 3 min and then stood in them for 10-15 min.
Rode in them after and noticed better support of my arch, and my feet didn't cramp when I had them cranked tight with the laces.
IMHO wished I would have done it sooner.

I think this video is a little more appropriate since he asked about Ronix bindings:

Safety first, please wear your vest.

and what temperature does the hair dryer reach? hair dryer works great on wet hair but is not good for dry hair. I would believe the heaters at the ski shop have a controlled heat to get a precise temperature to heat mold the boot. Do not go over 130 degrees for your boots, it is very easy to get water at 130 dgr, push them down under the water(too hot to push down with hand) for 10 min, put on your feet(with socks), do Not tighten, cool and you are good to go!

...a helmet would be a more appropriate safety device. I'm to large to fit down the drain.

I think I will hold off and ride them a little. If they don't feel right, like in my arches, then I'll try the hair dryer....naked of course with vest and helmet on.
