Malibu VLX bow ballest??

so i have a 07 vlx and when i went through the check list of things to put in it somehow i missed the bow ballest... i know i know dont remind me. so anyways i talked to malibu and they said it was going to be a crap load of $ to put one in so my question is has anyone taken out the original seat braces and put a v bag under the seats?
i was thinking about welding up a frame so it looks like nothing is under there and keeping the seats ontop.. get it??

same thing happened to me, i've been waiting for the same answer, in the mean time im thinking of getting a bow fat sac.

When are you going to start riding? As soon as Chico hits 80 (hopefully this weekend) im out there.

Or just put 350lbs worth of lead under the seats. Can fit with no problem.

im gonna be back in Discovery bay for my dads birthday so i will probably ride friday and sunday for the first time this year.lol so bad... do you have your boat here in chico? i have been trying to find a pull, im good for gas;) i went yesturday and talked to the team on campus and they acted like i was a piece of crap... what ever they want, i was just trying to get info on friday riding.

i thought about putting led i just dont want to do that because i want to put 400 in each locker so i need like 700 up front.

Just get the 1k bow sac you will need it if you put 400's in the back. That's what we run, along with 1k of lead in the boat.

thats what i was thinking ... what speed are you running and rope leigth etc? did you change the prop out? i think im gonna remove the original seat braces and weld a frame so the seats stay normal and the 1k can go under that... should work right?

25-25.4 at 85ft no wedge. I wouldnt go through all that trouble of welding in a frame unless you HAVE to sit in the bow. Get an acme 1235 you dont have to reprop with only 1800 over stock unless you ride with 8 people or more.

will the bow seats be ble to holed a 1000 lb sack??

Yes. Put the filler cushion there or a pack of life jackets.
