Hey guys I picked up a 2017 Marek 140 the other day and havent used it yey. They didn't have a 145 in stock that day but they do now and would exchange if I wanted to. Im 5"9" 208lbs and am somewhere between beginner - intermediate. My last or current board is a 2005 Hyperlite Motive 140 and am looking for a faster more aggressive board. I ride behind an 07 Enzo fyi. Does anybody have an opinion on a board length that would be better or will i even really notice 5cm more?
Thanks

I'd size up. There are a lot of benefits to it.

Yeah I am 205-212, and I wouldn't consider riding anything under 142. I am currently on a 142 Remedy but would definitely ride a 146 if they made one. More surface area usually means you can perform same tricks at slower speeds. It basically means you have exert less energy to get your board up on plain. It also means your landings will be a little less impactful. It also allows you to get those nose, tail, nuke, and seatbelt grabs a little bit more easily if you are not a gymnast of 5 star yogi.

Stability, smoother landings, forgiveness, more glide speed. The only downside is areal maneuverability and as a beginner/Intermediate rider, that is secondary to riding away. I'm 175lb advanced rider and would be on a william 145 if I could find one.

I'm 5" 7" at 160 lbs and I ride a 143 RDX and it feels like home. I think the bigger the wake you ride, the bigger your board should be
