I want to share some pics of my dock/boathouse setup on Lake Chicot, Lake Village,AR. Me and my family own a construction company and one of the things we build are piers. I started wakeboarding in 1998 and have always dreamed of having the perfect dock to enjoy lake life and watersports. After years of building them for customers I was finally able to build one for myself. I'm not sure if it will ever be totally finished because I keep thinking of things to add. Enjoy and give me some input and opinions. I'll keep adding more photos as I get them.

Amazing building!! One of the best setups I've seen for sure. You guys know what you're doing.

What kind of permitting was involved? My home state is very protective of waterfront and on-water construction. Most structures like yours were grandfathered in from the 50's. This is a historic one that was used to house a sailboat. Now it's a private function venue.

We're located in a pretty rural area and so far no permitting is required. That is one awesome looking structure!

Martaritaville is my backyard. Not as nice as these last two boat house/docks but I didn't have to win the lottery to own it. Just a lot of sweat and good credit. Can't tell you how nice it is to just drop the boat in and go when you feel like it. It has three boat lifts all covered. One totally enclosed for the Malibu, one for the pontoon and one for my sunfish. It has a bathroom an outdoor kitchen and 16' bar with beer tap. Flat screen tv, commercial ice machine, lounge area and a lower sun/swim platform. I built the main walkway 8' wide to accommodate my golf cart which we use to transport people and other things from the lake bank to the dock. I plan to add a loft bedroom with a dormer and window over the center boatlift and an outdoor shower. We spend almost every afternoon and weekend on the dock either wakeboarding, surfing, paddle boarding, wakeskating, tubing, fishing or grilling, entertaining and having a few cold ones. I make some pretty mean margaritas!
