Many wakeboarders, like me, have enlarged our wakeboarding skills by learning to kiteboard.

Kiteboarding allows us to ride when it’s too windy for the boat and lets us to get out on the water when we go on tropical vacations to places like Florida, California, Southern Texas, Hawaii, or the Caribbean. If you’re not familiar with kiteboarding here is what it looks like:

I know many of you have thought about giving kiteboarding a try but don’t know where to go to learn or are put off by the $500-$1,000 price tag of kiteboarding lessons.

Well no worries, some RIDERS have gotten together and formed a national kiteboarding organization called the US Kiteboarder Association (USKA).

Among other things, this organization can hook wakeboarders up with FREE kiteboarding lessons from professional instructors. Wakeboarders learn kiteboarding much faster than others because we already have the boarding skills.

I’m one of the riders that formed the USKA. If you’re interested in learning to kiteboard for free go here: http://kitelandresort.com/?page_id=19

Most forums including this one keep running thanks to ad $$'s. Why not pony up some cash if you want to advertise instead of opting for the spam route.
Doesn't look that good.......

P.S. I smell a rat and a catch here and IKO sucks balls.

These lessons aren't free at all. They require you to rent equipment for $39 PER DAY. I don't know of any other place that does not provide equipment as part of lessons. Correct me if I'm wrong. You also have to spend an extra $49 to become a member of their kiteboarder association. Further, you must rent a hotel of their choosing.

If you advertise it as free, then make it free. Bull**** won't go too far with this crowd.

Hahaha! I didn't see that he has post. I would be rocking my own equipment and telling them to suck it if they told me where to stay.

The scoop is definitely where it's at. One of the most entertaining forums in any sport.

I agree. A little intimidating when you first get on there but after you figure out a few of the inside jokes it's hilarious.
A good site to find some sick Kite edits as well.
