It has been said that Mark Kenny landed a 1080 on other threads.

as for others working on 1260's. i don't know anyone for sure, but i would not doubt that anybody who has landed and has been landing 1080's is working on them .

There were rumors a few years back that another guy (cant remember his name) was landing 10's quite a bit just never caught it on film. I believe that it was around the time when Parks landed the first one if not even before that. I could be wrong. Can anyone back that up for me or know what Im talking about. As far as anyone else trying a 12. I havent heard anything but I wouldnt doubt rusty or rathy's trying the 12. Pretty sure Parks isnt. Im sure he's stoked for Danny but I THINK Parks is focusing on just making his riding solid and dialed in again now that he's back and healthy.

No, the wake is not necessarily smaller in contests. Sometimes it can be, or the shape can be off, but the biggest wake I ever hit was in a contest.

It is the pressure of having to do the moves on the spot, first try with no warm ups.

Mark Kenney Very well may have landed a 1080 or two before he passed away in 2002. Parks landed his first 1080 in 1999 and was definatly the first person to ver land it, it is said that Mark landed a few but not until 2001-2002 I believe. Speaking of Mark, HE passed away on Sept. 18, 2002 and I didnt see any posts about him. Kinda surprised about that actually. Mark was an amazingg rider and great guy! He would definatly be landing 1260's if he was still around riding today for sure. Hope noone has forgotten about Mark Kenney, I know I sure havent forgotten this wakeboarding legend gone before his time. RIP Mark!

Definatly not, Mark was an incredible talent and i cant imagine what he'd be doing on the water today if he was still here. I personally know someone who has sat in the boat and seen mark stick atleast 5 1080s first hand just to clear all that up.
