ILLUSION TOWER NOISE

I know there was another thread floating around about the Illusion tower issues, I myself are now starting to have them with the tower really making alot of noise when running through DU. Tower is vintage 2005, has anyone corrected the problem?????

We had a problem with a noisy tower and something must have been wrong with it because we actually had one of the tower bolts rip thru the fiberglass( no backing plate)..well Malibu took care of it and when we got it back it was sturdy as hell and made no more noise at all. We were out in 30mph gusts yesterday and not a peep.

Not sure if the put bushings in there or what.

..That is what mine is doing it cracks pretty hard where the towr folds, I'm guessing the bushings are shot, not sure if Malibu will correct under warrenty???? I will make the call tomorrow

Ours was under warranty and its an 05 VLX.

Contact metcraft and tell them what year the boat is. They will send you four bushings that go on the foot at the pivot point. This will take care of your noise issues.

our 08 VLX have a default they will change the base of the tower soon they made to hole to put the pin to fold the tower at the factory too big so it cause a lack in the tower so it shake when we are on the water ..... they will take care of it under waranty in the next days ....
