So i have 4 polk speakers in liquid trends speakers on my malbu tower, but on my old boat i still have 4 6x9 alpine type R speakers in a box, and my question is should i take the box with the type R's and put that on my tower or do you think the polks and the alpines fight each other?? like ruin my already clean sound

no problem conflicting brands, but if it sounds good, 4 polk's will be enough. NO reason, or space, to run 8 tower speakers

Properly amplified the 6x9's should be louder the the rider than the 6 1/2 if you ran the both you should get more music to the rider than separately. These type of speakers do not project music as well as an HLCD set up so music to the ear won't be as good but the rider should hear it. I can't imagine it would look good though.
