Anyone rolling one of these boats? Checked one out here at the local dealership. There's a lot of boat in there for the money.

I agree, it was on my short list for awhile but the wife didn't like ti so of coarse that didn't happen. But for the $ i think it has tons of potential.

I've never owned one but from everything I've read they are great boats. I have it's larger brother, the Supra SE. My dealings with Skiers Choice (parent company of Supra and Moomba) have always been good. Check out the Moomba forums for a lot more info on the Max. The forum is very active but you have to register to see all the posts.

I have a couple of friends who own Max's, and the wakeboard wake is fun when weighted properly (just like any other boat). The Max likes a lot of midship ballast vs. being heavily focused in the stern, and you'll need to add about 750-900lbs in the bow to really keep it beefy & prevent
"porpoising". But it does pack a lot of punch for the price tag!

^^^^This is totally false^^^^

I bought one this year and I added 550lb midship bags and about 500lbs of lead which is spread evenly. This thing kills it for the price. It absolutely does not porpoise and cuts through chop like it’s not there. It throws an incredible wave, not just for its price point!! If you demo one, take an extra 1K pounds of weight and enjoy the ride!!

Pat, I noticed you said "wave". Do you use it fully weighted at wakeboard speeds or just wakesurf speeds? I know Ryan is probably referring to wakeboard speeds. Just making sure the context is in place.
