I've been barefooting longer than you've been breathing. In a bf suit you got a 50/50 chance of floating face up. The one time I've seen someone knocked unconscious from faceplanting on the jump ramp he floated face up. We do wear neck braces to prevent whiplash...never seen anybody break their neck...maybe a cracked vertibra but they all walked away. I'm on public water quite a bit too and I usually follow the laws there. The popo just watch us foot and leave us alone...they can tell we are pros.
