I am working on a project to bring wakeboardign and waterskiing to the schools as a club sport. Club sports are like Rocket Football, MYWA (wrestling), etc. The goal is to introduce towed watersports to the kids and their parents in an inexpensive and supportive environment.

The kids would have to be USA Waterski members.

A few volunteers with boats and equipment would be needed. My boat and gear is a part of this.

A few volunteers as coaches would be necessary to teach the kids.

Eventually, we would want to have intermural competition between schools. For the first year, getting several practice sessions and maybe a few kids to INT, NSL, NWL tournaments would be considered sucessful.

Russel Gay will support this if we get it going - he wants to get kids into trick skiing.

I have spoken with the Allendale Public Schools (Michigan) and they are cautiously supportive. They want to look at insurance and a few other issues. I want to make sure I have some support from others so I don't burn out.

Please let me know what you think about this.
Please let me know if you are willing to assist in Allendale.
