Looking to enter the world of wakesurfing...and welcome everyone's thoughts on which hull(s) to focus my search on. Willing to be patient to pick up the right boat for our needs/wants.

Primarily interested in wakesurfing, as kids get older maybe wakeboarding.
Family of 6...often on the water with guests - so 8-10 people capacity.
Would like to keep to a budget <$20,000.

V-Drive preferred (non-negotiable according to my wife...)

well, I agree with your wife.

if possible start with the v-drive cause most won't be happy with a direct drive unless skiing is a priority.

best suggestion since, there are dozens of boats that will fit your criteria, is to search the crap out of local classifieds, craigslist, onlyinboards.com, boattrader.com, etc and see whats out there in your price range. then you can start to narrow it down from there and get specific pro/cons about each boat.
