I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go the MC factory and watch my boat get finished this past Friday. First off, I want to thank my host and MC for an amazing experience, anyone building a new boat and thinking about it...do it! I thought I'd share with the WW universe a couple pictures of the finished product. I know I'm biased, but damn pictures do not do it justice.

I decided to go naked, no decals and did black on black for the logo's and MC nameplates. I plan on tinting the windows and I'll put a MC shield in green under the bow. Has anybody ever anodized their tower black?

Anyway, I know the colors aren't for everybody, but I could not be more pleased with how it turned out.

Very nice boat, I wish I could have picked the colors on mine. As far as the anodizing, GereMarie/MBCOC (the company that actually makes MC's towers) anodizes stuff all the time for custom applications. If you want to know more, contact them or shoot me a PM and I can steer you in the right direction.

How hot does that black vinyl get in the sun?

I'm guessing that it will only be used at night. Even light gray carpet gets hot enough to burn your feet in the hot California sun.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I hear you on the black is going to be hot, I did my research though before spec'ing it out. First off, I'm from Michigan and there are more days where it is chilly out and we are using the sunshine to stay warm than being worried about 95 degrees and sunny. It will give the ladies an excuse to hop in the lake on the hot days as well! One of my best friends has an X15 with the new black vinyl as well, and it honestly gets no hotter than the old style light gray vinyl. Yeah, it is a little risky color wise, but I wanted to go a little crazy on this one. Hurry up spring!

Not sure if it is true or not but most people are saying that the new interiors they are using breath more or something and are actually cooler than old white interiors...

Congrats. Post some on-water pics when you can. She is sexy!

That is sure a nice looking ride! It will be hot for sure and black isn't for everybody inside and out. Congrats on going bold and out of the norm with the interior.

awesome! The black interior is actually nice in colder climates like Canada especially early or late season. And it really doesn't get that much hotter that the light colors, especially when moving. When sitting still under the sun it heats up, but even just drifting from the current or waves helps. Its a lot easier to keep clean too!

I love the black on black. Congrats killer ride. it will be hot in that boat for sure. Tower would have been cool Black. maybe some lite tint on the windows. enjoy it. i would also recommend a good spay and wax to wipe that black down after every use.
