I'm building a 2017 MXZ. I really like the look of the graphite as the main interior colors. Does anyone know how much hotter this is than the lighter colors?

I've always done Moonbeam and white for my interiors. I thought the darker looked sweet, but had concerns about the heat. In 2015 they switched up most of their darker colors. They are slightly metallic and designed to reflect. It makes a huge difference. My 2017 has charcoal seats and I haven't noticed that it is that hot at all.

I can tell you it would be a no no in Texas. don't care how reflective it is.

looking at the color, graphite is super light gray. would probably be fine. what other colors? post up your build

Nacho, actually, I'm in Houston. As SMG loaded up on the darker interiors, I wasn't a fan. After riding a few different ones through TX Julys, I am sold. It works pretty well--or at least a heck of a lot better than you'd expect. My Moonbeam/white isn't much different than my graphite/charcoal.

Justin, thats surprising. does black get hot? moon/white sounds like a killer setup

I'm down to almost no black on my interior. Just dash and between seats. Black still gets super hot.

I ordered my 2017 22mxz with the same interior as the catalog boat. All graphite with a touch of black.

Tested out the vinyl last year and it wasn't bad. Even moonbeam got hot on my 2014 and I felt this was comparable. It's a completely different fabric/vinyl. Keep in mind I live in MN...Texas would be different. Dealer has done a couple dark interiors with the new vinyl with no concerns and they advised me against anything dark on my last boat.
