Sun screen does expire, I toss mine at the end of every season as it starts to lose effectiveness after 1 year

I've never had a problem with spray leaving any marks on my upholstery or gel coat. I love the stuff. It''s so much easier than the spread on stuff when you're kind of wet, and it's quicker. It leaves no more mess than people who are greasy from having a bunch of lotion on.

Bret; I to have heard story's about vinyl stain spots from spray on coppertone. What I have heard is that is when it's in the "Mist form" is when it's a problem. After is on your body and dryed I guess it's not a problem.

Laying towels out everywhere and making it a rule that you must sit on a towel has cut down on my Vinyl cleaning regimen and kept the vinyl in the new boat looking new. It's so much easier to throw a $6 towell in the washer then having to scrub and condition the vinyl after each outing

I throw the sunscreen out at the end of every season and then I make one massive trip to Walmart in the spring. Although some of those in the picture have been left behind by others.

I used to use the spray on stuff until I saw it eating the gel coat on my last boat. I have a number of rules on my boat but the top three are 1. No flavored chips (cheetos etc.), 2. no colored beverages (mixers, red wine, etc) and 3. No spray lotion.

Good advice.

My brock deck at home still has the outline of my sister's kid's feet after she sprayed them with sunscreen. I will need to scrub the deck with a solvent.
Many passes with my power washer have had no effect. Even bleach had no effect.

Spray lotion is also a huge ripoff in my opinion. It seems to have a lot less stuff in it and last way less time than regular lotion. The only good reason for spray sunscreen in my opinion is to avoid the akward ordeal of man on man lotion application.

^True - it's never fun when a guy asks another guy to spread lotion on his back. Stand up on the part of the boat furthest downwind and spray away.
