you mean other than harf, murray, parks, trevor, adkison, watkins, sanders, sean o'brien?

and doesn't lyman ride for jstar?

lyman is a free agent, LF set the budget 4 the team, but floatin product and travel, hes ridin a shane, check out the new alliance big interview on keith... LF has the new guys something like watson and bonifay, soven something, and a PACKED skate team (REED, HAmpson, walton, silas thurman).hummm hard to beat that, and im a hype guy

strongest how?

Joe - Lyman is getting flow from Liquid Force. They already had their budget set when they picked him up, so he's not getting paid, but he will be riding their stuff and filming with Justin Stephens. Check his interview in the new Alliance.

damn Jizz beat me to it.

thanks jizz and thane. my problem is i don't subscribe to either of the wake mags. i had a subscription for a while but just quit reading 'em. so i let my subscription run out.

as for the strongest team, board companies all have strong teams. any one can fill the podium at any given point. but, i'd be more inclined to put my money on a team that harf is on, whether we're talkin' about comps or freeriding.

Joe is right, Lyman & Greenwood are killer riders in Videos and I love to watch them, but neather has a strong comp record, IMO HL has the strongest comp team. Parks, Harf, Chad and look out for the young guns Arron Rathy and JD to make some noise this year.
Old     (projectely4)      Join Date: Apr 2003       04-23-2006, 5:43 PM Reply
um watson soven and shane are awesome comp riders as well.

shane just won a comp this weekend and is very competitive
soven killed it on the tour these last 2 years and is only getting better being only 17
Kevin Henshaw is ayoung gun that will noticed much more this year aswell

not to take anything away from watson, but which comp did he win this weekend? as far as i know, all the big names competed in qatar this weekend.

Joe I think he said Shane won a comp this weekend, must have been the Chain Reaction comp, I haven't seen the results yet.

06 is intresting but not nearly as much as 07 is going to be after the Hyperlite news... I am intrested to see the shake up in the industry & teams when 07 comes around and see who stays or splits...

ya thats true
lf riders are all sick and they all kill it but soven is about the only one who does good in comps. he is like to worried about being good, which he is really good! its like u only see him riding for comps and not for fun. ya know? i think thats the case.

This is opinion but i think that you will see the strongest year from CWB yet. With Jimmy killin it on the sliders and trevor and andrew always making the finals. Also lookout for jeff house to be hanging right up there with them this year and dont forget Derek Grasman. Im a bit biased but CWB has tons of talent we will be seeing alot more of this year.

I'm gonna go with LF too..... strongest in overall wakeboarding, not just comps! I do expect big things from SOB this year though. If not comps. (which I hope he finally figures out) the for sure free riding! Same thing i'm hoping for from Lyman and Shane!

Go CWB but....

Watkins, Sanders, Friday, O'Brien???

Can't believe no one has said O'Brien yet.

liquid force team is the sickest in freeriding with some good competition riders
Old     (solo)      Join Date: Oct 2001       04-25-2006, 4:47 PM Reply
LF doesn't care if their riders attend Pro Tour events except Phillip. 90% of the team are not required to compete but rather attend clinics and demos. I heard the bus is being retired. That's a nice way of saying it was trashed! Does that mean there is no Trip Across America this year?

Strongest team???

Easily da derrty riderz. Everyone knows that.
Old    roadking            04-25-2006, 8:21 PM Reply
If you have ever noticed, or are old enough to remember, most all of the so called "free riders" who spend alot of thier time in interviews hateing on comp riders and competitions are the same riders who rode comps and could never do well. I have no problem with someone who elects to not ride in comps and want to be a "free rider", but why hate on the ones who like it.

I also know alot of very good "comp" riders who are also as sick or sicker than the self proclaimed "free riders" when they free ride. Too bad the free riders can't do the same in comps!

If anyone on here thinks a competitive team does not drive sales, then you need help. Also if you think a company no matter who it is does not want thier riders to compete, you also need help!

the two I care about, Shane and Lyman, both want to and are trying hard to do well in comps this year!

Brian - on one of the 2 DVD's of Encore, Aaron Grace does an interview and he says, and I quote-

"we may not be on the podium at every contest but that is the least of our worries."

Thane, but at least they are in the comp. I am talking of riders who hate on comp riders and do not compete. Geez, its a free world.....I think!
