Got me curious...

Has anyone noticed the aerosol spray sun block just trashes your boat? Makes me cringe each time it gets sprayed. I do it too but I am cautious.

I noticed it has burned my tower, tower speakers (Wet Sounds... gasp) and the rubber trim around the windshield.

Don't allow any spray type on my boat. It has to get rubbed on.

The boat I can fix, the kids I can't. They put on sprays but don't like lotions. So I live with the outcome.

I used the ''spray on the dock or on the teak platform going 2-3 mph'' method. works great

we make you spray at the dock, or you get burned,

no rubs either, I hate when some tard puts on lotion and then uses the communal handle and makes it slippery for everyone else...

Not to mention that the aerosol spray is such a waste of $$. You pay as much if not more and get about 1/4 of the amount of sunscreen.

Cody, the alcohol will burn parts of your boat. I haven't seen it damage the interior or gel coat but definitely the tower and accessories.

^^ It will burn little (pin) holes in your vinyl as well.

I love the aresol though...sure it's more expensive but I can apply it myself and get much better coverage IMO. and it's very eary to re-apply.

I make everyone do it on the swimstep as well. I haven't had an issue with it thus far and never want one.

Not only is it horrible for your skin(Its a highly toxic chemical, cancer), just think what it does to your lungs when you inhale when you spay it.
