About a month ago my brother picked up this boat, and since then he has tinted the windows, replaced the rub rail, re-finished the teak deck, fixed some of the gel coat issues, and painted the boat. A local boat shop donated a trailer that needed new bunks, fenders, wheels, tires and paint. But hey it was free and a newer style trailer. Some of the paint work will be re-done and the top deck will be painted this winter and also plan for a tower.

Looks great. I miss my 86' sometimes. Great on fuel also.

Just my opinion but I hate the Monster tower on 2001's. I know they are cheaper but to me just don't look right on the square boats .

Yeah Monster is in his price range, but trying to convince him on maybe a Samson something like that style.

New dimension is the Flight control right? Those look amazing on those boats !

I had a Wake Air on mine and thought it looked good but it was kind of pricey !

Yeah it would be cool to see a couple different towers photoshopped on the boat, to give him a better idea before he spends more money ya know.

Looks great, what made you want to flare the paint up at the back of the boat. I know some years did that. I got this tower on ebay, it's was off a '05 211 and had to cut 10" out of the width and new rear feet. Besides that it fit perfect and folds down easy. Only bad thing is it's about 6' off the floor to the bottom of the tower but not that big of a deal for a small boat.

What did you do with the rub rail? It's all black now.

Not sure if this will work, but try this link - there are lots of 2001's with different towers:

Nick

He replaced the complete rubrail and did a black insert instead of the rope
