I'm wanting to buy a 2015 Malibu 23 LSV, and put a deposit down on one that I love the colors of. Now I realize it's a diamond hull, and not sure if I should go through with it or just order one with a wake hull.
I'm new to all this, and wanting to learn to surf and wakeboard with my family and friends. When I demo'd the boat, the wake seemed great and salesman said there is little difference between the two.
Don't want to make a bad decision, so please advise.

If you demo'd the boat and you liked the wake and how it drove then I think that's what you should base your decision on. If it's a 2015 then I don't think that's a leftover? Maybe I'm wrong on that, but it's definitely the current model year if it's a 2015.

I agree with the Salesman. I won't own another one without the Diamond hull. I have owned VLX's with both Hulls and mainly surf and wakeskate and didn't notice a difference at all for both sports. In fact it was easier to resell the Diamond Hull up here than it was to sell the Wake Hull..

I agree with both post above. The diamond hull makes a nice wakeboard wake. I am surprised people make such a big deal out of it.

Thanks for the info. I feel better about the decision. Taking delivery on Thursday!
