09 malibu vlx

I am looking at possibly purchasing a 09 malibu vlx. I was wondering if anyone out there experienced any issues with all of the fancy electronics? It has the maliview screen which seems not very waterproof and doesn't look too fun to replace. All of the other controls are electronic as well. I am used to toggle switches so I'm a bit hesitant to upgrade. Also, I'm fairly certain 09 was when malibu changed their hull design. I believe the hull is 2" wider than the previous design? If anyone could post any other useful info about this model and year I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
