weird stereo problem

Hey I have a weird problem, my stereo wont come back on once you start the boat. if you are just sitting it will work fine then when you start the boat all the sound is lost the eq and amp and HU still power up just no sound comes out. I have the remote wire going to the eq from the HU an then one goes from the eq to the amp. Does anyone have any idea I don't even know where to start.

Jordan,

Begin with a Bosch or similar horn relay. The source unit trigger will trip the relay which in turn will power the EQ and turn on the amplifier(s).

All components must have a common ground.

For testing purposes, bypass the factory harness and get your source unit positive and ground from the same battery or battery switch source as the amplifier.

If you account for all positives and grounds on a few components, plus the source unit illumination and memory lead, you'll certainly get to the bottom of it.

it all has power thats not the problem it just doesn't send any sound signals out but everything powers up. I think its a faulty EQ because once I bypassed it and just went straight to the deck it works fine

Check your charging voltage. You should be around 13.5-14.5 volts. If you are charging at a higher voltage it could shut down some gear.
