I am about to pull the trigger on a WS-420 and wanted to see how people are mouting these. I am going to try and mount it under the dash.

Why go under dash when you can go in dash?

Hey! Clean your boat! Ha ha

Yes it is in need of a good clean... but... with being out on the lake at 530am everyday... and not back in till 10pm every night... I have just enough time to fill it up with gas and put the garbage in the trash... not much time for anything else.

I give it a major clean at the end of every year...

I am under the idea of... I will spend more time using it... then cleaning it.

I have lots of friends that spend just as many hours cleaning.. buffing... as they do using it...

I didn't buy my boat to be pretty... hahah... just to be driven and ridden...

Who else has installed in their dash?

I looked everywhere for a place to mount it... but this seemed to look the best and be the most functional.

Here is mine. I matched the Engine Turned material on the dash the best I could and had a buddy (machinist) mill out the plate after laminating it to .125" stainless.Upload

Had time to clean it too! Nice work. In the dash is definitely the best place for it if you can make it work.

With the WS420... you can now host Karaoke Parties on the boat!

I had to cut all the ties holding up the wiring behind the dash.. and then use a long flexible reciprocating saw blade and cut a bit of fiberglass in the back...

Tip... dont get so excited and lay under the dash immediately after cutting... fiberglass dust in the eyeballs is not as wonderful as it sounds...

Also.. double check your RCA cables before routing them.... I had one signal dead... DAMN!

Also.. trying to do this outside at midnight... not an easy job...

Also... tuning it at midnight... not such a good idea...

Will be trying it out in 5 hours! After the boat is pressurewashed out and vacuumed!

I have always loved the Mastercraft dashes, they are freaking awesome. You feel like a pilot in the cockpit.

That's funny, I was actually thinking just the opposite about the second MC pictured.
