Wow, I'm with Chris on this one... the SAN looks sick but that tower is hideous. Same with the Tige... Now tige is copying MC and Malibu, IMO at first glance the Bu is by far my fav. But I still think a Sanger ('05+) w/ the old Pro Flight looks best.

The Tower you see on the 09 Nautiques is just another tower option they added for 09, the Titan and FTC towers are still options as well for 09.

I love how the all the companies are pushing the limit on the electronics and computer controls on our boats. If only the automotive industry could make so much progress in a few model years...

i loooove the cockpit on the malibu

CC tower looks like it was really tall but it had a rollover and crushed the tower

tige new tower is also kinda dumb also it looks like the tige nose dips down too low and that with more weight you will dip that easier

Andy,

I totally agree with you on the BU's.

The new Metcraft/Tige tower has alot of innovations in it that are major improvements over the Illusion X tower. BUT unless your familiar w/ the BU towers, you probably won't notice it.

I'm not sure which pic your looking at when you say the Tige nose dips down. If it's the last pic, that Tige has about 7-800lbs in the front bow sac. Tige's are known for the bow not taking water over the front. Most the boats w/ that much weight are gonna sit ALOT lower

Sorry i was under the impression that the last pictures were stock photos, i was imagining that with another 500+ pounds

Seems like everyone is trying out a radical new tower design, IMO i don't really like any of the new towers especially the CC. I liked the old illusion, i liked the old CC, You can tell tige put a lot into that tower but it may grow on me.

I have never been a Tige fan until now. Those are sick looking boats. Love the RZ's looks and the new tower. Nautique needs to go back to the drawing board on the tower as does Malibu. I like both their older stuff better.

As a sidenote - the double watermarked images are hilarious. You can always count on wake.com.au to do that to other sites. They just clearly grab someone else's image and slam a watermark over it. Don't even bother cropping - just slam the watermark on the image. ha. Pet peeve of mine.

MC is sure using a lot of color. Looks nice, but will that get super hot??? i am not that familiar with MC vinyl but it seems that would be untouchable in the southern heat.

Wow! I'm surprised by how much I like the Tige's. The new tower looks great, imo and other than the picklefork I like the styling. Now if they can just work on the wake . . .

But I'd still take a Nautique (w/o the new tower.)

I really dont like MC's graphics on most of their boats. Simple lines look alot cleaner than the full graphics they used. (Unlees it's a custom wrap) I think they should go back to the basic colors like blue, white, red, etc. It will be really hard to re-sell boats that are Bright yellow, orange, green, etc.

On the other hand, The MB 21 looks great! Such a simple tower with the flowing graphics make for a great looking boat.

Tanner- someone mentioned in another thread that there would be no changes to the MC lineup...but there would be a new addition or two around midseason or so...or something like that.

Im with Ryan, I like the new nautique tower more so then I ever liked the flat sided malibu tower or the plain aluminum towers (yea I have one of those). I can remember a time when the xstar came out with the funky gauges up on the top of the dash and everyone said they were ugly but they caught on...

I heard it straight from the horses mouth that the nautique tower is an option and the fct and the titan will still be available too. The benefit to the tower pictured is incredible ease to collapse it.

That aspect of the new Roswell tower must be nice for CC owners. I've heard that FCT isn't too fun to collapse, especially if you've got a bunch of stuff on the tower.

If you're in the market for a CC in 09 you might wanna get used to that tower because apparently a couple of the larger dealerships are going w/ that tower instead of the FCT.

I don't think that Tige could have coppied the Malibu tower any closer without them being the same. First they copied the picklefork then the tower, don't get me wrong its a great looking boat. I just want to see them do something on there own something that says oh look theres a Tige not is that a Tige no wait Mastercraft no wait a Malibu.

I think Tige went a little too far with the 80’s theme. It might be cool to have a boat that looks like a Rude Dog T-Shirt this year, but once the fad is over, you’re stuck with a very ugly boat.

Not taking up for them at all, but Tige was actually the first boat company to use the metcraft illusion x tower (the one many of you call a malibu tower) many years ago. Malibu has no trademark on it, and it is produced by metcraft as is the new tige tower. So technically nobody is copying anybody. Tige decided when the illusion x came out not to use it after they tried it on some boats.

Oh yeah, the new one is still really ugly.

The concept of the forward swooping tower has been out a while, Titan made one for Malibu before they went with the illusion X. I know for a fact that Malibu played a part in designing the Illusion X w/metcraft. They just took the titan tower they were already using and made it better. I can say without a doubt that Tige now looks alot more like a Malibu, do you think that was an accident. I have to hand it to Correct Craft on the new tower it is different, I didn't like it at first but it is growing on me.

These towers are getting rediculous. The illusion tower is different and simple and the best looking tower hands down with the bimini on. These new S design towers are disgusting. Im glad to see malibu has the best looking interior and exterior still in 09. I also like how they are not changing the boat to look completly different for shock factor( like i believe cent. and nautique are doing with their towers) but for making the boat more convenient for things other than riding. I love the new transom on the vlx. The small step makes it easier for dogs to get to the swim step. That is a huge plus for me. The dash is just perfect.

Anyone else see "saddle leather" interior upon first glance. Kinda cool but not for my wakeboat.
