Got an 06 Tige 20v. Last 2 times out the throttle has been intermittently stiff. Anyway to lube the cable? Any other ideas why? Or is replacing the cable the only way.

not very old to have a worn out throttle cable???? look for something wrong/loose with the control or the cable having a "clear run" no hard bends or reasons why it has gotten harder...look things over closely, move your throttle thru its full travel...maybe it is the cable.

I have an 06 22ve and it does not have a cable it is throttle by wire. However if you lay under the steering wheel and look behind the panel at the back of the throttle assembly you will see that it has a lot of moving parts. How many hours are on your boat I had my whole unit replaced at 385 hours because the linkage was getting sloppy and causing my boat to throw engine codes.
