Upgraded to the acme 1235 prop! Put 750 lb sacs on each side of the engine. 240 lbs of sand in the front under the seats. It was the 3 MLS package (500 Lbs in center). But we still dont seem to have enough weight in the front? Still slow out of the hole and we have to put everyone up front?

Yup. More weight in the front. I put an integrated bow sack up there on top of the seats and fill it all the way. Sometimes I'll throw a guy up there too if we really want to go big. I rarely fill the rear 750's though. The wake is big enough without them. But when we do, we typically don't use the wedge at all.

Do you have the manual wedge? If so, bring that up and try it with all that weight. I think you'd like it if you haven't tried.

Also, I'm using the stock prop and have no problems with the hole shot. Depends too on how much people ballast you have.

Definitely need more up front. I use 450 up front in my LSV with about 1100 in the rear (also have 500 center MLS filled). The center sack doesn't do a whole lot to keep the nose down on its own.

I'd say you need at least 5-600 up front if you are putting 1500 in the rear.

We had 3 big guys up front. 1 standing in the walk way and 4 people in the center and i was driveing. Wedge down (that could have something to do with it , i know). Just took forever to get going. And the wake was enourmous. Just wana lil help getting out of the hole. What if we put a 450 or 500 in the floor in the front? Jus wondering how everyone else weights the front of their VLX's! Thanks for the info

Yep, I would lose the rear sac and put them in the nose. That year model responds exceptionaly well to the stock MLS and 600-800 pounds in the nose. If you want to get creative, add a sac in the walkway up front.

I have a pic somewhere....

I prefer not to use the wedge just weight. I've found the wedge to make the wake less consistant & harder to ride. We run two 550's in the back a 440 in the ski locker and a couple hundred pounds of lead in the nose. Works great. I only use the wedge to surf.............

removed rear tanks and put in 400# bags on both sides, middle 500 MLS, 370 tube sac in walk through, 400# lead in front under seats....it dumps the boat and the wake is money, if we dump the wedge we need some fatties up front to compensate....i also have the acme 1235 and have no problem with the hole shot besides it takeing 15 seconds but that just happens when your boat is dumped

With my 750's full in my vride, I try to get at least 6-700 up front if not more.
