I read about this on planet nautique and was wondering if anyone had more info about it?

Here is the deal....this is very sad in my opinion.
SECC is owned by Walt Meloon. He also was the majority share holder of Correct Craft. He did not have a dealer agreement with himself.

Bill Doggen is now the majority share holder of Correct Craft after buying several shares of the company from one of the Meloons about six months ago. He and Walt Meloon (owner of SECC) do not get a long very well. About a week and a half ago, Correct Craft Corp. sent SECC a letter informing them that they are no longer a Correct Craft Dealer. They have about 60+ boats that they are making deals on now. For those of us that live in Orlando have have a Correct Craft, the only "authorized dealer" is now in Lake Wales and is about 50+plus miles away.

My understanding is that Doggen is going to create Orlando Nautique and set it up at the Orlando Watersports Complex. Supposedly Jeff (old sales manager at SECC) who left SECC about three months ago to start a Mastercraft dealership is now going to be the General Manger at Orlando Nautique.

Will be very interesting to see how this unfolds over the next several months, but it would appear that Correct Craft is going to be going through some interesting changes under "new ownership".

You reap what you sow. SECC has a long history of undercutting their Florida dealers whe times were tough. It sounds like the tables are being turned.

Orlando Nautique... Hmm, is it just me, or is CC all but dumping the name Correct Craft?

No, they're not.

I sat with the President of the company and their marketing VP and had the whole thing explained to me, because I MUCH prefer "Correct Craft" over Nautique. It is "Nautiques by Correct Craft", officially.
