Ha there really is an ass for every seat. I like flake but to take a boat that I already consider ugly and cover it entirely in purple flake just reminds me of Barney the dinosaur. White towers aren't my steez either. Don't get me wrong I'd take it in a heart beat, would love to ride the wake, just not how I would order it.

I like the new graphic, much cleaner than the 13s, but with less to distract you the those boats look more and more like yachts... haha. Brave color combo, but looks like it worked out.

Seeing it in those colors makes it kind of look like a bloated 200... Now I love the G, but the 24 looks SUPERsized 200 to me...

That is the FAE and Nautique designed FAE for the G23/25. It goes though the hull and mounts to the muffler from what I understand.

I'm pretty sure Travis' boat is silver flake and solid purple. This is the first purple flake boat I have seen. I gotta say, it works!

Are you sure it's a Nautique designed FAE? I thought they partnered with (Larry I think is his name?) to provide them to Nautique.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere it was a collaborative effort and that FAE does build them for Nauti

Any better pictures of the factory FAE? The exit doesn't look like the FAE's I've seen. It looks like someone took a piece of pipe, cut it at an angle and squashed it in a vice. The other FAE's I have seen look to be a custom shape, nice rounded kind of triangle type shape.
This kind of looks cheap.

is that FAE pic dented accidentally or is that part of the ever so scientific "design" ?

It's not accidentally dented. It's a pinch to go from round to oval. You can see it in the purple boat as well.
That close up pic is one I took of a brand new G at Nationals in Ohio 4 weeks ago.

Wow, if I paid 100k+ and they made my exhaust that cheaply I'd be pissed.
From just a few threads down you can see how good the original is made.

Simple that they just stuck the pipe into a vise instead of having a custom formed pipe on a $120-$150k boat?

I agree that it does look like a "homebrew" version, but it's a single exhaust outlet.. I don't really feel like they had too many options to make it as fancy looking as the dual. If it works, it works.. but I would probably get it powder coated. My eyes focus on a lot more than that pipe when looking at G's, but I get where you're coming from.

I wasn't knocking the single outlet or bends. Actually running mandrel bends probobly flows better then using straight pipe and cutting the pipes at 45 degree angles to make a bend.
But the squashed downpipe is something I would do in my garage.
Especially when Larry already makes a kit for the G's that has his custom formed downpipe.
It honestly would make sense to just hire his fab shop / him to at least make the down pipes.

Doesn't get more simple than fercos and hose clamps... wait a minute... that's the original...

Why not just have the exhaust exit the bottom of the boat?

not hating, just really wondering from a re-sale value/thought process. Purple boats from the mid-90's automatically dropped in price point because of color. Red's, blacks, normal blues, green will always be desirable. The 90's purple was just harder for some to sell/buy. I can only assume something similar in regards to the metal flaking, it sure does look nice, but will it still be "IN" in 5 years. The boat looks nice!

hahahaha, my thoughts exactly. Solid mandrel bent tubing or rubber gaskets and hose clamps.

I wonder if that boat is already sold? As a dealer you would think your new inventory would be popular colors to fit the largest pool of buyers (ie: white, black, gray, blue, etc..). The purple looks nice, but I think it would definitely be more of a "custom" order and might be tough to sell it with other boats sitting next to it. Regardless, that G25 is amazing.
