Thinking about taking a trip down to south GA/ north FL and wanted to take the bait and do some riding on the Suwannee river. Can someone tell me what are the best areas of the river for wakeboarding and what areas to be sure to avoid. Thanks so much for the help!

The river is good and deep in some places up pass where the Santé Fe river ties in. If I were you though... I would stay down passed that, where it gets deeper and wider. The scene is small for this flat of water. Mostly mad fishermen and tubers! 3000 lbs. at least in each boat we ride behind, year round. Look me up on instagram if you want to see some pics of what I mean "BRETTPERSONS". Would be glad to show you around when you come down.

Watch out for sturgeons!!! They have been having more problems with them as the river gets busier. They only swim up river in the summers to spawn. Have had some close calls. They like the really deep spots!
